Jill Stockwell is a comparatist working on Turkish and Turkish-German cultural and literary studies. She is interested in issues of leftist intellectual history, intertextuality, postmodernism, and migration. Her current research focuses on the mid-century literary left in Turkey, and the centrality of transnational affiliations in the development of literary postmodernism(s). Stockwell holds a Ph.D. in Comparative Literature from Princeton University. She is also affiliated with the Prison Teaching Initiative as a research associate.
