Bio/Description
Alexander Englert joins the Princeton community as a Postdoctoral Research Associate in Philosophy and Religion after earning his Ph.D. in philosophy from Johns Hopkins University. He investigates the intersection of natural philosophy, ethics, and metaphysics in the philosophy of Immanuel Kant and the German Idealist tradition. Currently, he is studying this intersection through Kant’s Opus postumum, as well as in relation to Kant’s argument for the immortality of the soul and the highest good. He has been published in Hegel Bulletin, Hegel-Studien, and Kantian Review.
