Employment Eligibility I-9

Due to the COVID pandemic, I-9s are being handled remotely.  New hires should email Human Resources at hr@princeton.edu to coordinate an I-9 as your start date approaches.  Human Resources will accept a scanned copy of the documents, with an understanding that when normal operations resume, they will reach out to request original documents brought to the Office of Human Resources.

The Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986 (IRCA) requires all new and rehired employees to establish eligibility for employment in the United States. Princeton University cannot pay you or allow you to work until this verification process has been completed. Please note that non-US citizens must have employment authorization covering their entire Princeton University appointment period in order to be able to work and be paid for the full appointment.

You must fill out an Employment Eligibility Verification form (I-9 Form) in person within three days of your appointment start date. New employees should bring their original documents that establish identity and authorization to work to the front desk of the Office of Human Resources at 2 New South Building.
