VPL student receives ReachOut 56-81-06 Fellowship

Cristina Martinez ’12, an anthropology major in the Values and Public Life undergraduate certificate program, was recently awarded the Princeton ReachOut 56-81-06 Fellowship, a $30,000 award which supports a year-long public-service project post-graduation. Cristina will spend next year starting a mentorship program for youths who are transitioning out of foster care at Bethany Christian Services, a Philadelphia-based adoption agency. Cristina is currently writing her senior thesis on former foster children and how they form friendships. Following her time at Bethany Christian Services, Cristina plans to attend law school and focus on child welfare.
