UCHV community embraces Ukrainian and Russian Scholars

A Princeton University news story highlights the University’s most recent efforts to uphold its long-standing tradition to support at-risk scholars displaced by world events. The University Center for Human Values (UCHV) is among several of Princeton’s academic units, departments, centers, and institutes that have welcomed Ukrainian and Russian scholars whose lives have been disrupted by the war in Ukraine. UCHV has been involved in key aspects of this initiative. Kim Lane Scheppele, Laurance S. Rockefeller Professor of Sociology and International Affairs and the University Center for Human Values worked to identify scholars in jeopardy and to help bring them to Princeton, and UCHV’s assistant director, Regin Davis, has served as vice chair of the steering committee supporting the logistics of scholars and their families.
