In a new critical edition of John Stuart Mill's "Utilitarianism" to be published by Norton & Company as part of its Library Collection, co-editors Peter Singer , the Ira W. DeCamp Professor of Bioethics in the University Center for Human Values, and utilitarian philosopher Katarzyna de Lazari-Radek (University of Łódź) add context, clarification and analysis to the complete 1879 edition of Mill's classic essay.
The pair have previously co-authored two books: “Utilitarianism: A Very Short Introduction” (Oxford University Press, Very Short Introductions series) and “The Point of View of the Universe: Sidgwick and Contemporary Ethics.”
