Mueller to Deliver the Wiktor Osiatyński Memorial Lecture in Warsaw

Jan-Werner Mueller will deliver the Wiktor Osiatyński Memorial Lecture in Warsaw on May 16th. The event is organized to honor the memory of the late Wiktor Osiatyński, a law professor at Warsaw and Budapest (Central European University), a promoter of human rights and democracy in Poland and in the region, and one of the authors of the Polish Constitution.   Osiatyński passed away in April 2017 . In memory of his lifetime achievements and the values that he promoted in Polish society, The Wiktor Osiatyński Archive was established, an initiative of lawyers who document and comment on changes to the rule of law and human rights standards in Poland today.  Mueller will speak about the perils posed by populism to democracy.
