Lane Speaks on a Zócalo Public Square Panel About Sustainability

Director of the UCHV and Class of 1943 Professor of Politics Melissa Lane spoke on a Zócalo Public Square Panel about sustainability. In discussing solutions for our "imperiled planet," the panel examined ancient civilizations for answers. The discussion was moderated by Scott Tong, sustainability correspondent for public radio's Marketplace and included Anabel Ford, an archaeologist and Director of the MesoAmerican Research Center at the University of California-Santa Barbara, and Joseph Manning, a historian of Ptolemaic Egypt at Yale University.
