The German Ministry for Education and Research is inaugurating a special academic year dedicated to the topic of freedom.  In 2024, the ministry will sponsor discussions, exhibitions, and other events that aim to foster citizens’ engagement with academia, in particular to do with questions surrounding freedom. Müller, Roger Williams Straus Professor of Politics; Founding Director, Forum in the History of Political Thought; Director, Program in Political Philosophy, has been appointed to the advisory council of this special Wissenschaftsjahr and is planning to co-organize an event on academic freedom under the auspices of the partnership between Humboldt University in Berlin and Princeton, a partnership that has also been sponsored by UCHV.
