CEU’s Democracy Institute to hold roundtable on Jan-Werner Mueller’s new book

July 7, 2021

On Thursday, July 8th, The Democracy Institute of Central European University will host a book discussion on Jan-Werner Mueller’s new book "Democracy Rules."

Joining Mueller in the roundtable discussion, which will be moderated by Zsolt Enyedi (Central European University), are Gráinne de Búrca (New York University), Jeff Isaac (Indiana), Jan Kubik (Rutgers University and University College London) and Karolina Wigura (University of Warsaw).

The Democracy Institute is an initiative by CEU, a partner institution of the University Center for Human Values, to study processes of democratization, de-democratization, and re-democratization.  Located in Budapest, the Institute puts special emphasis on the question of how to reinvigorate democracy as a lived practice.  It seeks to connect with citizens and policy-makers alike and to actively engage the public.
