On October 26, Christopher L. Eisgruber, president of Princeton University, presided over the ceremony dedicating Laura Wooten Hall, which was attended by officials from the University, state, county and local levels and proud members of Laura Wooten's family. Laura Wooten is remembered for her faithful service of 79 years volunteering as a United States election poll worker at local, primary and general elections in New Jersey. Melissa Lane, Director of the University Center for Human Values and Class of 1943 Professor of Politics, remarked, “Through her steadfast wise and virtuous action, year in and year out, Laura Wooten made herself into one of the most powerful educators on our campus. Seeing her name inscribed on this building challenges us all, each and every day, to lift our sights.”
