Conference Funding

The Center welcomes requests to cosponsor conferences and workshops on normative themes to be held on campus and open to participation by faculty and graduate students. Typically the Center makes small grants between $500 and $2,000, depending on costs and centrality to the Center’s interest. We will consider larger requests (normally for not more than $10,000) for support of activities centrally concerned with questions of ethics and values, whether in historical or contemporary thought or practice. We expect that co-sponsored conferences will also be supported by other units of the University and will be administered in one of those units. This program does not support activities intended primarily for undergraduates.
