Undergraduate students are invited to apply for the Princeton-Kentucky Summer Institute on Political Values and Ideas,
University of Louisville, Louisville, KY
May 24- May 30, 2020
Topic: “Migration, Mobility, and Movement”
Why do people move? What distinct ethical issues are raised by colonial settlement, cross-border migration, rural-urban population flows, gentrification and other forms of mobility and movement? How do the processes impact people across sectors of society and aspects of their lives? This intensive 6-day seminar, held on the campus of the University of Louisville, introduces students to these questions in a social context, featuring site-based learning on topics such as contemporary migration and refugee policy, mobility and the environment, frontier settlement, and coerced migration. Open to all undergraduates. Faculty from Princeton, University of Louisville, and other Kentucky colleges and universities. Students’ travel, housing, meals, and tuition expenses paid – no cost to participate.
