From Brexit voters having had enough of 'experts' and Trump wanting to 'drain the swamp', we are living through a revolt against the elites. But how do we think about the relation between elites and democracy outside of populism? Join Lisa Disch (Michigan), Hugo Drochon (Nottingham), John Medearis (UC Riverside), Pratap Mehta (Princeton), Nadia Urbinati (Columbia), and Jan-Werner Mueller (Princeton) for a panel discussion on what relation elites should entertain with democracy - if at all - today.
