In this talk, Professor MacAskill will introduce the philosophy of
longtermism, presenting the argument that our impact on future generations is
the most important moral consideration in the world today. He will discuss
the different ways we can positively affect future generations, and will give
advice on how you can choose a career to maximize your positive impact on the
