Join us for a book talk with Martin Wolf, associate editor and chief economics commentator of the Financial Times, about his recent book The Crisis of Democratic Capitalism. In an age when liberal democracy is in recession around the world, and authoritarianism is on the rise, some now argue that capitalism is better without democracy; others that democracy is better without capitalism. At this fragile time, Wolf’s book offers a forceful and realistic rejoinder to both views and makes it clear that divorcing capitalism from democracy would lead to even worse outcomes for the world.
