Event Description
What do we owe one another out of respect for our common humanity?
“A Minimally Good Life” argues that we should help others live minimally good lives whenever it doesn't require sacrificing our own. Hassoun defends a new approach to helping present and future generations reach this threshold, even when assistance seems impossible.
Barbara Buckinx, Roger Crisp, Stephen Darwall, Dan Haybron, Liam Shields, and Peter Stone will offer comments. Author Nicole Hassoun will respond.
This event will take place virtually on Zoom. Registration is required.
The workshop is co-organized by the Liechtenstein Institute on Self-Determination at Princeton University and Trinity College Dublin, and co-sponsored by Trinity's Center for Justice and Values.
