Event Description

Eidelson will present ideas from a work-in-progress that explores what it means to make a decision "on the basis of race," from both legal and philosophical points of view. The focus will be on what universities should and shouldn't be understood to be prohibited from doing in light of the U.S. Supreme Court's decision last year in Students for Fair Admissions v. Harvard College.

About the speaker

Benjamin Eidelson, a scholar of public law and issues at the intersection of law and philosophy, joined the Harvard Law School faculty in 2019. He writes and teaches primarily in the areas of constitutional law, anti-discrimination law, statutory interpretation, administrative law, and legal theory.
