Undergraduate Certificate Program in Values and Public Life
APPLICATION INFORMATION
The application procedure to the UCHV undergraduate certificate program in Values and Public Life requires:
- completion of one of the core courses with a grade of B+ or higher (Note: If no core course has yet been taken, please explain why in the application essay and give a clear plan of study for fulfilling the core course requirements);
- a minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher;
- submission of a statement outlining the student’s plans of study for the certificate;
- submission of the name of an academic referee;
- a copy of the student's academic transcript. (This may be an unofficial copy obtained from SCORE).
The VPL program is only able to accept a limited number of students each year. We recommend, therefore, that interested students take the application seriuosly and fill it out as thoughtfully as possible. The only time to apply is at the end of the sophomore year.
