Maddalena Ferranna is an economist working on distributive justice, risk, discounting and environmental policy. In particular, she is interested in issues of intra- and inter-generational equity in relation to environmental risks, such as natural disasters and climate change. Her current research focuses on the development of new risk management tools that include both efficiency and equity considerations. Ferranna holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the Toulouse School of Economics (France), and she is an associate researcher at Fondazione Eni Enrico Mattei (FEEM, Italy). She is also affiliated with the program in Science, Technology and Environmental Policy in the Woodrow Wilson School.
