Jonathan Beere is Professor of Ancient Philosophy and History of Knowledge at the Humboldt-Univerität zu Berlin. His research interests include ancient philosophy and ancient Greek mathematics, metaphysics, moral psychology, and Wittgenstein. He is the author of Doing and Being: An Interpretation of Aristotle's Metaphysics Theta. At the Center, he will be working on a project on the political philosophy of Plato's Republic.
