Pettit elected to British Academy

Philip Pettit has been elected to the British Academy as a Corresponding Fellow, their highest honor conferred “in recognition of scholarly distinction.” Pettit is the Laurance S. Rockefeller University Professor of Politics and the University Center for Human Values and is also Distinguished Professor of Philosophy at Australian National University.

The British Academy recognizes the most distinguished scholars in the humanities and social sciences. Individuals who are not permanent residents of the United Kingdom are elected as Corresponding Fellows at the Academy’s annual general meeting.
