Mark Mercurio

Mark Mercurio MD, MA is the Director of the Yale Pediatric Ethics Program, Chairman of the Ethics Committee and an Attending Neonatologist for the Yale-New Haven Children's Hospital, and Associate Director of the Yale Interdisciplinary Center for Bioethics. He currently directs several educational initiatives in medical ethics at the hospital and at the university, and also serves as National Program Director for the American Academy of Pediatrics Section on Bioethics. He holds an A.B. in Biochemical Sciences from Princeton, a Doctorate in Medicine from Columbia, a Master's in Philosophy from Brown, and received his clinical training in pediatrics and neonatology at Yale. Publications and invited lectures have focused primarily on ethical issues in pediatrics, particularly neonatology.
